An aviation and military history museum showcasing Air Force heritage. The museum features vintage aircraft (including a B-52 Stratofortress, B-17, B-24 and more on static display) as well as indoor exhibits on the history of Barksdale AFB, the 2nd Bomb Wing, and strategic bombing. Visitors can learn about the role of the “Mighty Eighth” Air Force in WWII and see artifacts from different eras. Note: The museum is on Barksdale AFB (just outside the security gate); civilians can visit by obtaining a visitor pass at the gate.
